With many restaurants closed and the stay-at-home order in place, RecipeLion wants to encourage you to get creative in the kitchen! Using pantry staples, leftovers, and whatever else you have on-hand, create an award-winning entry for our Stay Home and Cook Challenge!
Create a new, original recipe using whatever ingredients you have at home already. No special trips to the grocery store, please! Dig into the back of your pantry or freezer and use up whatever you have lying around. It's amazing what tasty concoctions you can whip up using leftover ingredients. Tap into your creative side when it comes to substitutions; let's prove to our fellow readers that you don't always need to follow recipe instructions to a tee- you can get a little creative and swap out various ingredients using something you already have.
We hope to brighten this time by offering a joyful way to spend your days inside. Happy cooking! We can't wait to see what you create.
How to Submit:
Contest dates have been extended!
- Between Wednesday 4/22 and Sunday, 5/31, submit your new and original project using our Share Your Recipe feature.
- Recipes must be submitted in full in order to qualify.
- Include a note in the instructions field saying "Entry for the Stay Home and Cook Challenge."
- Once your project is live on RecipeLion.com, we'll send you an email to let you know.
- The deadline to submit your recipe is 11:59pm CDT on Sunday, 5/31 2020.
Prizes:
We will award one (1) Grand Prize Winner a $100 Amazon gift card + $200 donation to winner's local food bank.
We will award one (1) Second Prize Winner a $75 Amazon gift card.
We will award one (1) Third Prize Winner a $50 Amazon gift card.
Rules:
Recipes must be NEW, original creations submitted in full to RecipeLion.com. Previously posted recipes on your blog will be disqualified. We want to see what you're making now while everyone is staying safe at home!
Projects must include at least one photo of the finished recipe. Projects may include step-by-step process photos as well.
Finalists will be chosen based on:
· Ingenuity while using ingredients and recipe substitutions
· Clear, thorough, well-written instructions
· High quality photos
