Easy Tiramisu Recipe
Easy Tiramisu Recipe
This image courtesy of

This Easy Tiramisu Recipe is one of the best around. This classic Italian dessert only takes 10 minutes to bake. Assembling the ingredients is the hardest part, and even that is a piece of cake! If you love the flavor of espresso, this is bound to be one of your favorite desserts. Espresso and rum soaked ladyfingers give this cake a nice kick, while the creaminess of the whipped cream and mascarpone make it nothing but heavenly. Topped with a helping of cocoa powder, you won't know whether to share this amazing tiramisu with your friends or keep it all to yourself.

Preparation Time30 min

Chilling Time4 hr

Cooking Time10 min

Cooking Vessel Size9x9 inch baking dish

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sweet Marsala
  • 1 3/4 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1 3/4 cup heaving whipping cream
  • 2 ounces packages of Italian ladyfingers
  • 1 cup cold espresso
  • 1 tablespoon rum
  • cocoa powder for dusting
  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate for topping

  1. Whisk the eggs and sugar in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water.

  2. Whisk in the marsala and cook mixture for 10 minutes, whisking constantly until thickened.

  3. Remove from heat and whisk a few minutes.

  4. Stir the mascarpone into the yolk mixture.

  5. In a chilled bowl whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.

  6. Blend the espresso and rum in a wide bowl.

  7. Dip each ladyfinger in the espresso mixture quickly, do not soak them or they will fall apart.

  8. Arrange a layer of the ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish.

  9. Spoon half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the ladyfingers.

  10. Add another layer of the ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone cream.

  11. Sprinkle the top with cocoa powder and chill for 4 hours or longer.

  12. When ready to serve top with the chopped chocolate.

Out of all of the times, I've been enjoying this indulgent delight and I had no clue it had alcohol in it. I'm wondering, Does it generally contain alcohol and would it be just as delicious if I were to exclude it completely? I've never used mascarpone cheese before but I'm really excited to try it in this recipe and I'm thinking dark chocolate would be an amazing compliment to the espresso flavor.

I loved this tiramisu. I thought it had just the right blend of everything to give it a rich flavor. I have tried many tiramisus, and not all get it right. This was delightlful!

I'm not a tiramisu expert, but I really liked this! I liked that the coffee flavor wasn't too strong.

I really enjoyed that the tiramisu wasn't too coffee-y (if you know what I mean). I will definitely make this recipe again.

This tiramisu was incredible! It tasted authentic, and the texture was just perfect not too rich but not soggy either! I'll definitely be trying this again.

This is my favorite tiramisu recipe I've tasted! The coffee flavor was delicious, but not too strong, so it is family-friendly. Since I'm coffee-obsessed, I would maybe add even more coffee flavor. The chocolate on the top added the perfect touch to this dessert.

So, I have only made tiramisu once in my life. Not going to lie, it wasn't the easiest dessert. However, my friend made this tiramisu recipe for me today and it was pretty delicious. I think I might have to attempt tiramisu making once again with this recipe!

This is such a good recipe. The creamy layers are light and delicious, and the sponge cake has a nice texture to it as well. Yum!

This is so delicious! I love how creamy it is and it practically melts in your mouth. It can get a little messy cutting this but it's definitely worth it!

Absolutely delicious! This tiramisu had a light texture and wasn't overly sweet. Definitely worth making again!

I can honestly say this has to be the best tiramisu recipe I've had! The coffee part is not bitter at all, the way some are - it's smooth and creamy, and the chocolate on top is the perfect flavor and texture to complement this dessert. I may have to have seconds...

A perfect treat after lunch... light and creamy!
