Custard Apple Cheesecake

Looking for a uniquely flavored cheesecake, look no further. Delve into this Custard Apple Cheesecake, which emphasizes the tropical fruit's creamy texture. With hardly any cook time this innovative dish is a simple cheesecake recipe to enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet plain sweet biscuits
  • 90 grams butter
  • 3 teaspoons gelatin
  • 1 custard apple
  • 250 grams Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • 1 tin evaporated milk
  • juice of half a lemon
  • grapes to decorate.

Instructions

  1. Crumb biscuits, mix with butter and press into a large pie dish.
     
  2. Heat under the grill for 10-15 minutes.
     
  3. Boil gelatin briefly in half a cup of water.
     
  4. Scoop the custard apple pulp out and remove the seeds.
     
  5. Beat in a food processor until smooth, then cream the cheese and sugar.
     
  6. Add all the ingredients together, pour into the crust and leave to set.
     
  7. Decorate the top with grapes.
