Lavender Simple Syrup

"This lavender simple syrup turns everyday drinks into café-worthy creations—without crossing into perfume-counter territory. By using just the right amount of dried lavender and a touch more sugar, the result is lightly floral, smooth, and perfectly balanced. This is the same lavender syrup recipe I use in my Lavender French 75. Yet it is subtle enough to complement coffee, tea, and lemonade, without overpowering them. A basic simple syrup is a 1 to 1 ratio of sugar to water. A rich syrup is 2 parts sugar to 1 part water. I find that with the aromatic nature of the syrup, a little sweeter is the way to go."
