Right out of college, I consumed a lot of Hamburger Helper. I wish I had had access to recipes like this back then. What a great combination of ingredients to get a real cheeseburger taste, even including a hint of mustard and ketchup. I love using rotini pasta since the sauce really clings to it. This is really a tasty dish and it's becoming one of my favorites.

There's nothing more I love than a quick, cheap, easy but tasty meal to whip up after work, time can some times be so tight when you get home from a long day at work and then I like to have a meal nearly ready for my partner when he gets in, his shifts are twice as long as mine! I would of never thought of a hamburger casserole- it's a fantastic idea! Could you use Turkey mince instead to lighten calories?

The addition of ketchup and mustard gives this dish an interesting twist. Being able to cook this all in one pot is a bonus. I never knew why the pasta had to be cooked separate and this recipe proves that you don't need to. As the pasta cooks, the starchiness comes out and will help thicken the sauce.
