Vintage Crescent Casserole
This is one of those easy weeknight meals that moms have been making for their kids for generations. This particular recipe for Vintage Crescent Casserole was featured in the Pillsbury bake-off in 1978, so you know it's going to be good. When it comes to easy casserole recipes, making ones with crescent rolls is a no brainer. This casserole has the taste kids love and the heartiness they need. It's win win for everyone!

While I enjoyed this casserole, my least favorite part about it was actually the crescent roll crust. It was far too crispy on the edges (especially where it sits on the lip of the pie plate/casserole dish) and tasted a bit bland in comparison to the other flavors. I'm going to experiment with some spices and the bake time the next time I try this.

OMG WHY have I not known about this before now? It's so easy, cheesy, and delicious! Phenomenal flavor combination - I love the addition of the Italian seasoning during the beef-browning step - and nice and hearty. This is sure to become a staple in my family!

The perfect comforting meal! I would definitely make this again, probably with even more cheese.
