If you're tired of boring potato salad recipes, then you've come to the right place. This Amish potato salad is the perfect classic recipe, but it's absolutely loaded with flavor. With fresh and tangy ingredients like Dijon mustard, celery seed, and shallots, it's impossible to skip this dish when it's on the table at your family's house.

We also love this Amish potato salad recipe because it's easy to make. Even though it has several ingredients, it really comes together in no time at all. You can even make it the day before your event so that the flavors have extra time to blend and get really tasty. You can enjoy this recipe with any other foods you like, but we think it's especially great when paired with some of our other favorite Amish recipes.

You might be wondering, what's the difference between Amish potato salad and regular potato salad?

Amish potato salad is slightly sweeter than regular potato salad. You'll notice below that the recipe actually includes a little bit of sugar in the ingredients list!

Another fun fact about Amish potato salad is that it's likely that it's not actually Amish. Walmart made this sweeter style of potato salad popular, and many of the recipes found on the internet are actually copies of that Walmart version.

But, no matter where this style of potato salad came from, we're glad that it's here! It's delicious and perfect for any occasion.

My friend made this potato salad for a recent potluck and it was so good! I went back for seconds :) I normally only eat my mom's famous potato salad, but this one is a close second!

I now have a new favorite go-to potato salad! Yummy!

This tasty potato salad had a great texture, and I loved the bits of egg!
