Ingredients

  • 1 box Penne noodles
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Recipe

  1. Boil penne for about 15 minutes in milk with a pinch of salt. Be careful since the milk could boil over.

  2. When the penne is done, and absorbs most of the milk, add butter, parmesan cheese, paprika, pepper, and salt to the pot. Stir until butter and cheese melt.

  3. Transfer to a buttered baking dish (volume 4 cups or 1 liter). Combine bread crumbs over pasta.

  4. Bake in 350 F (175C) oven for about 20 minutes or until breadcrumbs become lightly brown.

YUM! Mac and Cheese is my favorite, I will definitely be trying this!

I have always detested mac cheese (altho cheddar is awesome just not with macaroni milk). But this was so good and I had everything in the cupboard or frig. Thank you, Hadn't eaten the stuff since I was 18, 46 years back, but Your mac cheese is awesome and will be a monthly treat. Thank you!

Tried this recipe? What did you think?

Omg, Mac N' Cheese made with Parmesan is my favorite! The flavor is so intense and it really does make a difference compared to the traditional version. This is kinda how I make it at home but instead of using bread crumbs I prefer using broken up saltine crackers and I like to mix in a little hot sauce for a nice kick.

This recipe is spectacular! The paprika is a great touch, and it adds tons of flavor, too!
