Mauviel is world famous for their spectacular cookware and this Mauviel Stainless Steel Saute Pan with Lid truly fits that description. The 8" pan comes from the M'cook collection of pans made with five layers of stainless steel. The matching lid and long handle are great complements to the incredible pan.

When you first pick up this pan, it is easy to tell that it is well constructed because of the heft and structure. Once you start cooking with the pan, then you really see how the superior construction makes a difference. The stainless steel is not only a great conductor of heat, it also allows the pan to be used on an induction cooktop.

The 1.9 quart interior of this pan is ideal for all kinds of recipes. I use it for almost all my vegetable side dishes, as well as sauce recipes. It is also perfect for browning ground beef before putting it in the slow cooker. If you are cooking for two, like I usually am, then you will find yourself reaching for this pan at least once daily.

I love the curved handle on this pan. I am able to grab and hold onto it despite my small hands. The curve also makes it easier to toss food in the pan without having to stir. A loop at the end of the handle allows you to hang it on a pot rack.

To call this pan durable is an understatement. It is built to withstand 680 degrees F in an oven; that is nearly 200 degree F more than any pan I have used before! The large rivets holding the pan together won't budge like they could with a cheaper alternative. The pan can even go in your dishwasher for a care-free clean.

This is a pan that can meet your kitchen needs, and then some. The incredible build ensures you will still be using this pan in 10 years.  It is a pan that both the professional chef and home cook will love.
