Ingredients

  • 1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 4 ounces Mozzarella cheese, shredded (about 1 cup)
  • 1 cup Prego Pizzeria Style Pizza Sauce
  • Pepperidge Farm Garlic Bread, any variety, heated according to package directions or Pepperidge Farm Crackers, any variety

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Spread the ricotta cheese in an even layer in a 9-inch pie plate. Top with 1/4 cup of the pepperoni and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.

  3. Carefully spread the sauce over the cheese. Sprinkle with the remaining pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.

  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until it's hot. Let stand for 5 minutes.

  5. Serve with the garlic bread or crackers for dipping.

I love simple-to-make dips like this. As written, it strikes me as being a bit on the plain side. I'd definitely add some chopped green pepper and onion into the mix and I also think a bit of crumbled sausage would make a nice addition. I think this would go much better with the sliced and toasted garlic bread rather than crackers.

I love this! It's so easy to make it whatever kind of pizza you like by adding those toppings and just experimenting! So excited for this!

Huge success! Even my husband, who hates most dips, could not stop eating this. I did add a bit of chopped black olive to the ricotta! Will certainly make again!
