Dump-and-Bake Chicken Marinara Gnocchi

"There’s absolutely no prep work necessary for this easy dinner recipe that cooks entirely in one dish! Just stir together all of the ingredients and you’ll have a delicious Dump-and-Bake Chicken Marinara Gnocchi in about 30 minutes! I combined the uncooked potato dumplings with cooked, shredded chicken, marinara sauce, chicken broth, and garlic. The gnocchi cooks in the sauce as everything bakes together in the oven, which eliminates the usual step of boiling the gnocchi separately first. The next time you reach for your basic pasta with marinara sauce, I hope that you’ll try this easier, cheesier twist instead. With a quick green salad on the side, you’ll have a perfectly delicious, family-friendly dinner on the table in about 30 minutes! Hoo-rah!"

NotesCooking Just for Two? You can cut all of the ingredients in half and bake the gnocchi in a small (1-quart) casserole dish.

I love the rewarding and down - to - home feeling I get from cooking from scratch, but gnocchi (and tortellini for that matter) is very time consuming and labor intensive. Store bought gnocchi and frozen stuffed tortellini are some of the very few things I prefer to buy pre - made. This is a great hearty meal that is sure to satisfy your Italian food cravings!

If you have never made homemade gnocchi before, you have to try it! All you need is 1 cup mashed potato, mashed sweet potato, feta cheese, or goat cheese, 1 egg, and a lot of flour! Get ready to get messy but it'll be really fun! Homemade gnocchi is delicious and not too time-consuming. Plus, it cooks in under 5 minutes. Would be great with this chicken marinara dish if you have the time!
