If you love the taste of that crispy outer skin on a juicy piece of fried chicken, you're not alone. There's a reason people love it, and that's because it's delicious. Sometimes, however, you want to try to be a little healthier, and that's where this recipe for 30 Minute No Fry Chicken comes in handy. This baked chicken recipe achieves that crispy, crunchy, outer layer while being much healthier for you than its fried alternative. A seasoned and crushed-up blend of corn flake cereal coats pieces of honey-mustard-dipped chicken, which is all baked to golden perfection. Honey mustard dipping sauce on the side makes this dish complete! This is the perfect, quick and easy, family dinner after a long day.

  • 1 cup prepared honey mustard dressing
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 pound chicken tenderloins
  • 3 cups corn flake cereal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. In a bowl, mix honey mustard with 2 tablespoons water. Set aside.

  3. In a large zip-top bag, mix cereal with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Crush cereal (don't over crush!) and shake the bag to combine everything.

  4. Dip chicken tenderloins in the mustard mixture and then place in the cereal bag.

  5. Shake to coat everything well. Lay pieces out on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  6. Bake 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.

  7. Allow to cool slightly, and serve with additional honey mustard dressing for dipping.

How do you make the honey mustard dressing? What are the nutrional facts?

This no fry chicken looks really good, I am wondering because it is not fried would this make this a healthy version of a fried chicken? Would it be slightly dry if it is not fried? Has anyone tried this? Is it as good as fried chicken? Could you use fresh garlic instead of dried garlic?

Not being crazy about fried food I think this is a great alternative for chicken with a delicious and crispy crust. We did not have any corn flake cereal so used a similar quantity of bread crumbs and it worked very well. The crust was crunchy and very delicious, the chicken was succulent and our tummies were very happy!

This is healthier AND easier to make than regular fried chicken! I will definitely be giving this a try.

Fried chicken is something I miss so much, and knowing now that there's an alternative that tastes basically the same but is much healthier makes me really excited. I've used corn flakes in frying chicken for years but I had no idea it would still come out crispy if it was baked. I can't wait to try this recipe!

I always prefer the healthier alternatives. I like crispiness too so this will go down a treat. It is also fun to dip it in the honey mustard dipping sauce. The best thing about this chicken recipe is that is ready in a jiff which is always good! The cornflake coating is a nice alternative to bread crumbs.

Yum! I love dipping it in honey mustard first. I am not partial to plain mustard, but I love some honey mustard. The cereal gives the chicken great crunch. If you can't do corn flakes, crushed rice chex would work for crispiness. Great easy meal that kids would love.

Thank you very much for the alternative to corn flakes.

I'm always looking for quick and easy dinner recipes. This 30-minute dinner is definitely going on my list!
