I don't know about you, but I can eat burgers every day and never grow tired of them. This recipe makes me think of the traditional big mac, the only thing missing is the pickles, lettuce, and tomato...which you can actually add as a garnish if you wanted to and maybe toss them in a little thousand island to make it official...yum!

About 3-4 tbl of breakfast chili added to the meat mixture really added some wonderful flavors.

The sriracha sauce adds a nice touch and we added a little garlic and chili too to up the ante a little. It is a filling meal for a large family of children (like ours) and is simple enough to prepare that our 11 year old was able to do it quite unaided (and he was extremely proud of himself too, lol!).

Thanks Lynn for the reminder of adding chili. We always have a jar of breakfast chili made up in the fridge. We did cut back on the Sriracha a little when adding the chili. Many recipes out there for breakfast chili. We like the recipe that is thinner rather than thicker.

This is something you could make gluten free by using gluten free Bisquick. It is a pretty simple dish to throw together. The Sriracha sauce gives it just a tiny kick without it being too spicy. I did not have Dijon mustard so I used regular and it worked out fine.

I love trying new casserole recipes, because they're a quick, easy, and delicious weeknight dinner. I also love a good cheeseburger, so this recipe definitely gets five stars.
