Brown Sugar and Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole

"Holiday dinners were a big deal in my family growing up. My Granny was the best cook and when she had her family gathered around she went all out. Holiday dinners often included turkey, cornbread dressing (stuffing), broccoli and cheese casserole and sweet potato casserole. Sweet potato casserole has always been one of my favorites. It is also a very frugal recipe. Other than the pecans, most ingredients are very inexpensive so it is the perfect thing to bring to a potluck."
