This is one of the cakes I'm really crazy about. Carrot cake. There is something in the ingredients used that give that distinct taste. I tried to bake this once before and I discovered that one of the powdered condiments gave that very delicious taste. I want to bake this again. Love it!

I love carrot cake and this looks so tempting. I like that it is a healthier recipe. I happen to have some almond flour. I got it from a seller on Amazon. My sister's husband likes carrot cake too so I may have to try this recipe out. I do have a question for the bakers here. Exactly what spices and measurements can I use to replace the pumpkin pie spice? I'd rather use what I have on hand which I'm match the pumpkin spice combo.

I love carrot cake and I love that it is described as moist. I don't know what almond flour is. Is it sold right by traditional flours? I think Easter is the perfect time to make a carrot cake. I'm not much for Easter candy, but there are plenty of other desserts I can enjoy!

I'm not sure that all grocery stores carry almond flour. If your store has a gluten-free section, that is more likely where you'll find it. You can also find it in health food stores.
