Mashed potatoes are one of the sides I always select when our family visits Cracker Barrel. They are always so smooth and creamy. My homemade potatoes have been known to have a view lumps, lol. Nice to get an inside look at how those buds are prepared.

I didn't know that I have been preparing my mashed potatoes like they do at cracker barrel. My husband was the one that hipped me to the evaporated milk. When we are filling a little adventurous, we add cheese. Thanks for the recipe.

I see that the secret ingredient in creamy mashed potatoes is really evaporated milk, thanks to this recipe! I thought it might have been mayonnaise for some reason. Usually, I prepare mashed potatoes with margarine only. While the flavor is ok, it does lack the creaminess of restaurant-style mashed potatoes. I'll be sure to use milk the next time I make mashed potatoes.

I keep trying to enter the giveaway and it doesn't go in (why )

I've never had Cracker Barrel mashed potatoes, so I can't really compare the two. But these potatoes were excellent!!

I was a little wary at first because the recipe called for evaporated milk, but I really enjoyed these mashed potatoes. They were really soft and flavorful. I could eat them with every meal.

I could definitely just eat these potatoes as an entire meal, they were that good!

If I could eat potatoes all day, I'd eat these potatoes! Mashed potatoes from Cracker Barrel are my favorite and these are the next best thing for sure.

These potatoes are so delicious! Definitely the greatest side dish for any savory meal.

They were creamy and delightful. Definitely restaurant style.

They were good. I like mashed potatoes. I prefer them thicker. These were a bit runny. I have never tried the Cracker Barrel recipe at the restaurant, so it may be fine and what people like. I also like more garlic. This has none.

Mmmmm, this is one of my favorite side dish recipes. I couldn't help but go back for seconds!

I love Cracker Barrel and the fact that I can make these mashed potatoes myself is awesome! These are seriously THE best mashed potatoes a girl could ask for!
