Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cook over high heat until the mixture reaches 200 on a candy thermometer. Let cool for 20 minutes and skim the surface if necessary. Serve over warm apple spice cake, and vanilla bean ice cream.
