Apple Marmalade

"Apple marmalade, thick and gorgeous spiced apple preserve with natural pectin. In Britain marmalade is made only ever from oranges but it wasn't originally. The word 'marmalade' comes from Portuguese word for quince, ‘marmelo’ which means quince, that gnarly fruit which is a cross between apple and pear. It was originally quince pulp cooked deep orange with sugar syrups and spices. So I'm not very wrong picking apples to make my marmalade. And apples are unfairly overlooked fruit in the jamming business."
