Painless One Pot Pasta

"Before we get started I want to warn you that while incredibly easy, this recipe does need to be given a quick stir every 2-3 minutes, so unless you enjoy cleaning up burnt milk explosions I would keep an eye on the stove until this one pot wonder is off the heat."

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons pesto
  • salt to taste

This pasta dish sounds delicious! And I love it is one pot and quick to make as well which would be super handy when we get in from work on the weekday evenings as well. Does this reheat well would anyone know and if so reheat in the pot or microwave?

I had come across the idea of cooking pasta in milk before and it's a great technique, both from speeding up the cooking time as well as adding to the taste. It's a simple and quite tasty dish. I'm not usually a fan of hot pasta dishes that don't include meat, but this is very good. When I make this again, I probably will include some ground beef or a bit of Italian sausage.
