This is a very delicious recipe, but it is not fettuccine Alfredo. )I took one star off because I am a stickler about fettuccine Alfredo.) The real deal takes less than 1/2 hour to prepare, but it is a bit pricey (especially with the current prices for butter) very unhealthy . That said, this is a delicious pasta dish. Try it using finely diced Parma ham (other dry ham) with the peas in the sauce and toss with cheese or spinach tortellini - the end product is very close to the tortellini baronessa that was served at a favorite restaurant back in the 90s.

Thanks for the insight and suggestions! The dish you described sounds delicious -- we appreciate your knowledgeable feedback!
