The line of Function 4 cookware from our friends at WMF is nothing short of incredible. The WMF Function 4 Casserole Pot is an innovative piece of cookware, great for all kinds of different uses. The stainless steel casserole pot comes complete with the signature, function 4 lid.
What makes this pot so unique is the silicone-ring lid. There are 4 "functions" for each side of the lid, depending on how you place it on the pot. One side creates a complete seal and one allows for pouring water through the spout. The other two sides create a small and large sieve opening for straining water while cooking. This is especially useful when making pasta, potatoes, or other vegetables. I love the lid for all these reasons, plus it is has a glass top! I love being able to take a peek at what I am cooking without having to let steam out.
The low casserole pot holds 4 quarts, making it a great size for making a variety of dishes. I used the pot to make an easy pot roast recipe. This was the perfect pot to use since I could sear the meat on the stove and then put the whole pot (lid included) in the oven.
This is a casserole pot I could see myself using just about every day. It heats up quickly and evenly, while accommodating a large amount of food. You can use this casserole pot for anything from, panfrying to making a stew.
