  • 3 cups thin pretzel sticks
  • 4 cups Wheat Chex
  • 4 cups Cheerios
  • 13 ounces can salted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted


  1. In large mixing bowl or slow-cooking pot, mix together pretzels, cereals, and peanuts.
  2. Sprinkle with garlic salt, celery salt, seasoned salt, and cheese.
  3. Pour melted butter over all; toss until well mixed.
  4. Cover and cook in slow-cooking pot on low 3 to 4 hours. Uncover the last 30 to 40 minutes.

In your directions, you sprinkle on the seasonings and then the melted butter. If the seasonings are sprinkled on the dry cereal they will fall to the bottom of the container. If the butter is poured first,then the seasonings will stick to each piece of cereal.

As there is no fruit in this, shouldn't you cut back a bit on the salt?

If you want fruit eat fruit, this is a salty snack. Get over your health kick. Learn to eat in moderation.
