Slow Cooker Baked Apples

A sweet treat that the family will love, Slow Cooker Baked Apples are made with a few ingredients, but still taste like a million bucks. Cinnamon, maple syrup, cranberries and fresh apples give this slow cooker recipe a fruity flavor that the family will love. A perfect side for dinner, it may be the best tasting food on your plate.

Cooking MethodSlow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 teaspoons pomegranate seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 tablespoons natural maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Core the apples half way thru.

  2. Mix the filling-dried cranberries, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and maple syrup.

  3. Transfer the apples to slow cooker and stuff them.

  4. Pop the lid on and let cook for 3-6 hours or until the apples are fork tender.

  5. Enjoy warm with ice cream or if you like you can have them cold as well.
