Makes27 cookies

Cooking Time8 min

  • 9 fun size Milky Way bars
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup canola oil

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line insulated baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together cake mix powder, eggs and oil. Batter will be stiff, but keep stirring until it comes together.
  3. Cut each Milky Way bar into thirds. Using a cookie scoop, measure out cookies (about a tablespoon) and roll into balls. Flatten ball in the palm of your hand, place one of the Milky Way pieces in the center and wrap dough around cookie.
  4. Bake for 7-8 minutes. The edges will look dry and they have formed some cracks.
  5. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

I love cookie recipes that start with cake mix since that means a lot of the work is already done, plus they allow for a lot of variety. This is a really nice one that uses Milky Way bars, which are one of my wife's secret addictions. It's wonderfully simple and the end result is delicious and irresistible, especially if you're as much of a fan of Milky Ways as my wife is.
