Danish Wedding Cookies
Traditional Danish wedding cookies are a classic you don't want to miss.
An international favorite known by many names, Danish Wedding Cookies are probably one of the most popular cookie recipes out there. Covered with powdered sugar, every bite is absolutely incredible! Great with tea or coffee, pop the entire thing in your mouth for a little bite of heaven.
You might be wondering about the difference between Danish wedding cookies and Mexican wedding cookies. They're the same thing! You might also have heard them called Russian tea cakes. No matter the name, we think they're absolutely delicious (and we think you will, too).

Danish Wedding Cookies Recipe
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In bowl, mix butter, powdered sugar & vanilla until completely incorporated.
Sift together, then stir in, the flour and salt.
Stir in the chopped pecans.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or place dough in plastic bag and seal. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Form into 1-inch balls & place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Bake for 14 – 17 minutes, watching carefully that they don’t burn.
Remove baked cookies from baking sheet & let cool on wire rack.
When almost completely cooled, put 2 cups powdered sugar in large ziploc bag & carefully add the cookies, about 1 dozen at a time.
Carefully coat each cookie with the sugar, then remove & place back on wire rack to completely cool. Repeat with rest of cookies, a dozen at a time.
When all cookies are completely cool, place back in ziploc bag with leftover powdered sugar & let them stay in the sugar until ready to serve.
