I can't believe I have not seen this recipe yet. Crispy chicken! Yes please!! Sesame seeds! Oh yes. I love Asian cooking and flavors and all done in 30 minutes. I can't wait to make this recipe. I have used cornstarch before in a batter with seltzer water and it turns out very nicely.

A visiting friend made these for our evening meal last night and they were super delicious. I have never made tempura batter before and am amazed at how easy this recipe makes it. With crunchy stir fried vegetables and toasted sesame seeds sprinkled over the chicken we ate like royalty and there were no leftovers.

When I go to the Chinese buffet, the first thing I always go for is the sesame chicken! This recipe, in my opinion, tastes even better. I tried several recipes for Chinese chicken in my slow cooker, but something was always missing. The step of battering and frying the chicken must be it! The outside edges get nice and crispy, while also helping the sweet glaze adhere to and coat it better.
