Vintage Bing Bars
Do you remember Palmer's famous Twing Bing candy bars? This homemade candy recipe for Vintage Bing Bars is a knockoff of the famous chocolate and cherry Bing bars from the good old days. This no-bake recipe couldn't be easier to make and it will remind you of your fondest childhood memories. A delicious cherry candy filling is surrounded by two layers of chocolate to make these quick bars. The whole process can be done in little more than 10 minutes!
Cooking Time10 min
- 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 (12-ounce) finely ground peanuts
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 12 large marshmallows
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (6-ounce) bag cherry chips
- 1/2 cup chopped Marischino cherries, well drained
Melt the chocolate and peanut butter together, then stir in the peanuts. Spread 1/2 of this mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan; set aside remaining mixture for later.
In a heavy saucepan, combine condensed milk, marshmallows and butter. Bring to a boil (carefully, as this scorches easily) and boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add cherry chips and stir to melt, then add Maraschino cherries. Spread over the chocolate in the pan, then top with remaining chocolate mixture.
Chill to set, but remove from refrigerator prior to serving.
