Paleo Cinnamon Streusel Banana Bread
Paleo Cinnamon Streusel Banana Bread

"This Paleo Cinnamon Streusel Banana Bread has a layer of pecan crumble in the center and on top, creating a ripple of cinnamon flavor throughout the whole loaf of banana bread. This moist gluten-free + refined sugar free bread is sweetened with bananas and made with coconut flour. This paleo cinnamon streusel banana bread is super soft, moist, and absolutely delicious. It’s full of cinnamon and sweet banana flavor, with that irresistible layer of pecan streusel throughout. It also freezes incredibly well, so you can slice it before freezing and heat up slices as you want them."

This sounds absolutely wonderful. I love banana bread to begin with, and the additional of streusel just sounds fabulous. When I think of banana bread, I almost always think of walnuts included in the batter. So, I'm wondering if walnuts could be substituted for the pecans in the streusel. Banana bread (or muffins for that matter) don't seem complete without walnuts, so I think I'd definitely add some, at least to the batter. And that still keeps it paleo, I think.

Such a delightfully scrumptious banana bread and the cinnamon pecan layers are simply heavenly! The coconut flour and coconut oil lends a really good flavor to the recipe. My book club ladies ooood and aaahd over it and I had 4 requests for the recipe so it really is a winner!

One of my extended family members has a severe wheat gluten allergy and is always looking for new recipes for baked goodies. I am definitely going to forward this one to her! I am trying to cut back on my refined sugar, and this looks like a delicious way to do it. A lot of times banana bread can be dry and just kind of boring, but this one adds to it an extra yummy factor with the streusel.
