They tasted more like biscuits than rolls. Also, the temperature is too high. They were done after 10 min. The icing is good though.

Can we get an answer re: the yeast????

Depending on the type of yeast you use you don't have to proof the yeast. However, to be safe proof the yeast for a few minutes in the warm milk so long as the milk is not too hot as to instantly kill the yeast. Hope this helps! - RecipeLion Editors

Re: Yeast? Do you first proof the yeast with warm water? Or simply just add it?

The yeast is proofed in the warm milk...so just add it in with the rest of the ingredients as stated in the recipe.

I have made cool-rise rolls where you make it, slice and put in greased pan, cover with plastic rap and sit in fridge over night - they should raise in the fridge. Carefully remove plastic wrap and let sit for a few minutes. Bake as usual.

I tried this recipe for the orange breakfast rolls and they truly are a taste of heaven.I did put a thin layer of cream cheese on my dough after I had rolled it out and then put the orange, butter, suger mixture and then rolled it up.I had to let it rise for about and hour and 20 minutes but they are so worth it,and so easy.Best recipe I have found in a long while. Will make these often.Thank you
