A recipe from Seduction in the Kitchen. When I first published this recipe on my blog, my readers went crazy for it because it is so very simple to make. It only has a few ingredients and it is full of yummy flavor."

I really should have made a double quantity because one bowl really was not enough for my family. It is so tasty, the French Onion soup adds such a wonderful flavor and the sprinkled parmesan is the perfect finishing touch. I was not keen to use basmati rice (because of that delicate flavor) so we used ordinary rice but it was still very good and, like I have said, every last scrap was eaten.

This is really one of those Why didn't I think of that? recipes that are fun to discover. I love French Onion soup and our rice of choice is basmati and I honestly never thought of putting them together in this way. The Parmesan cheese is a perfect touch. In looking at the photos, I seem to see a bit of bacon mixed in with the rice. It's not mentioned in the recipe, but I could see adding a bit to the rice.
