I agree that the brownie base should be the crust! It would cut on having so many layers and make this recipe a little more simple to create. The hardest part is, of course, the chocolate cream. However, don't worry because the instructions clearly state how to make it properly! I think this pie could be frozen and thawed if need be!

I would rather have the brownie base used as the crust or use a chocolate pie crust instead of a brownie baked in a regular pie crust. It is just a little much with a brownie right instead a pie crust. I love the real whipped cream and the homemade chocolate cream. Made from a mix or cool whip just can't compare.

This recipe will be your new go to dessert for holiday entertaining! Since it uses packaged brownie mix in the bottom of the uncooked pie shell and they are both baked together as one, it really saves a lot of time. The from scratch chocolate cream is amazing in comparison to most pies I've seen which usually just mix together packaged pudding and cool whip.
