Instructions

Cut biscuits into bite-sized pieces

Heat about 2 cups of vegetable oil in a pan (enough to come halfway up the biscuits. It’s ready when you put a drop of water in the oil and it sizzles.

Carefully drop your biscuit pieces in the oil and cook until golden brown.

Remove from oil and place on paper towel to drain extra oil.

Coat with sugar and cinnamon.

Chinese donuts are my FAVORITE thing at buffets. I could eat twenty of these. Love that the biscuit dough is pre-made!

I could not help but think of Homer Simpson when I read the title of Donuts - lol. I like all kinds of donuts but I seldom eat at any Chinese restaurants. I can appreciate the chef when she elected to use refrigerated biscuits. This will be a quick version of a sweet donuts, Chinese restaurant style.

Oh, my goodness...I've always wondered how those yummy donuts that I daydreamed about from the Chinese restaurants were made and I can't believe just how easy it really is even if it is a copycat recipe. But for some odd reason, I feel like after the biscuit donuts have fried in the oil they should be brushed with some coconut oil or butter then rolled in the cinnamon sugar.
