"It wouldn’t be fall in Virginia without an easy side dish of SOUTHERN FRIED APPLES! September and October are the HEIGHT of apple season here in Central Virginia, so the fruit makes an appearance at almost every meal of the day. These fried apples are a perfect side dish for a hearty fall dinner, they can easily pass as a light dessert with vanilla ice cream, or you can dice them and stir them into yogurt, oatmeal, or top them on pancakes for breakfast! As I said, it's an easy, 15-minute recipe that works at any time of day!"
