Golden Apple Bars
"“These taste just like mini apple pies!” So said a family member who sampled this lovely, apple dessert baked on a brown sugar cookie crust this past weekend. To be honest, this recipe is a version of my Grandma Rose’s who made something like this every fall when apples were plentiful and in season. However, I find apple anything to be wonderful no matter the season. This is an easy, delicious dessert with sweet tart apples (any) baked on a brown sugar cookie crust. Try this lovely confection the next time you are looking for something different and interesting to make for dessert! Great for Sunday dinner or a family meal! Send some home with family (I was told that this makes an excellent breakfast with coffee as well!) One 9″ x 13″ baking dish; 12 servings"
