Slow Cooker Orange Chicken

Dinner doesn't have to be complicated with this Chinese restaurant copycat recipe!

Warm, flavorful, and just slightly fruity, this Slow Cooker Orange Chicken Recipe is the perfect thing to make for dinner tonight. This simple but delicious chicken uses orange marmalade, scallions, soy sauce, and brown sugar to give it that distinct sweet-and-sour taste. Break out your slow cooker and serve this chicken on top of soft, fluffy white rice, and you'll have an easy dinner recipe that the whole family will love.

From the Chef: This sweet 'n' sticky chicken favorite is a glammed-up version of chicken nuggets. Instead of dipping the bite-size pieces in a pool of ketchup with your fingers, all you need is a fork with all the sauce in this dish.

Orange chicken is delicious! I can't wait to make this in my slow cooker next week. I can tell it will be better than lukewarm carryout food. I'll also look for a beef and broccoli slow cooker meal to make the same night.(I have two slow cookers)!

Chicken and orange is hard to beat and when you add soy sauce, ginger, garlic and a few other other ingredients it becomes even better. I can not wait to try this Slow Cooker Orange Chicken dish for a group of friends coming to us for a meal over the weekend.

I used to do orange chicken by zesting an orange and then squeezing the juice out of it. The orange marmalade is a great cooking hack for getting this same fresh flavor, without all the work! I like to use boneless skinless chicken thighs for this - they stay so tender and juicy and have a great rich flavor!
