It's hard to beat a comfort food like mac and cheese. The only way we can think of is to make it even easier! That's why we came up with this Slow Cooker Mac n Cheese recipe. Just throw these ingredients in your slow cooker, and you'll be on your way to a warm, cozy side dish that will have people coming back for more. Bring this mac and cheese to your next family gathering or even to Thanksgiving, and people will be asking you where you got the recipe.

From the Chef :Whenever I see a buffet spread, I like to hit up the mac 'n' cheese first to make sure I don't run out of valuable plate real estate. This mac 'n' cheese dish has a hint of paprika, giving it a smoky flavor. A fun twist on the traditional version I remember from being a kid.

Yum! I think I will make this.

This looks so good, No more boxed mac n cheese please !!!!

Along with adding ketchup for a topping, I sometimes mix in cooked sweet peas for a hit of color and taste. Adding peas is also a good way to bulk up the recipe.

I have never added any extra toppings to my mac and cheese but I did add any topping it would be bacon bits.

Lots of Bacon!

This sounds like an amazing recipe for a favorite comfort food. I like to read the other reviews to find creative ways to change the recipe. We love pasta at my house, so I am sure I will make this soon. I am assuming you can use basic elbow macaroni in the recipe?

I like to add pureed pumpkin to my vegan mac and cheese

Mac n Cheese is probably one of life's greatest discoveries and although it perfect all by itself...sometimes, I like to make mine into a taco extravaganza! Just mix in some taco meat and salsa and top it off with some cheddar, lettuce, tomato, black olives and a dollop of sour cream (or your favorite taco add-ins). It's so good!

This looks amazing! Can't wait to make it!

Ketchup is the best topping!

crushed Ritz crackers

Wow, so easy to make and so tasty too! I only recently acquired a slow cooker (yes, I know I'm a slow starter - haha!). Now that I know what an awesome machine it is I am grabbing every opportunity to use it. I added some chopped spring onion and replaced 1 cup of cheddar with mozarella cheese. The recipe is really good and because it cooks itself in my opinion it is a real winner!

extra cheeese

horseradish sauce is great mixed in at the end. Just a little goes a long way.

I like to add beef to mac and cheese

This is a nice and simple mac and cheese recipe! I would recommend adding in some bread crumbs on top for a little crunch since the velvetta definitely adds to the creaminess of this dish.

Simple, delicious, and comforting. That's all you need for a great mac and cheese recipe.
