Homemade Creamy Eggnog

Eggnog is known as the traditional holiday drink, sometimes served at Thanksgiving and usually for Christmas. It’s festive, chilled, and actually kinda fun especially when you make this drink recipe in your own kitchen! The egg whites play on your tongue, leaving just enough froth behind to say you need more! Homemade Creamy Eggnog is a wonderful dessert beverage that the family will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 ounces bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks until they’re light in color.

  2. Gradually add 1/3 cup sugar & beat until sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. Add milk, cream, bourbon & nutmeg. Stir to combine.

  4. Beat egg whites to soft peaks. With mixer running, add vanilla

  5. Beat until stiff peaks form. Whisk egg whites into cream mixture. Chill & serve.
