Ok, so I just can't imagine the corn flakes on top! I love the idea of a handy breakfast casserole for Christmas morning that serves a crowd though. I'd try this with bacon as my family would like that very much. I also love any recipe that can be made the night before. It makes life so much easier and is a real wife saver!!!

I've never encountered a breakfast casserole quite like this before. The usual ones I'm familiar with use a bed of hash browns, followed by the egg, meat, and cheese layer. The idea of using bread as the base and the top is new to me. I love ham and cheese so this recipe really appeals to me. It's nice that it can be assembled the night before if necessary and just popped into the oven come the morning.
