Homemade Holiday Snowman Poop

Homemade Holiday Snowman Poop is the best recipe for holiday snacking! This easy recipe is fun to make with the whole family, and a delicious gift to give to loved ones as well. If you have a few minutes to spare, you can make this fun treat come to life. Made with white chocolate, Funfetti cake mix, Rice Chex cereal, mini marshmallows and some crushed peppermint candy, this is a totally sweet recipe that kids and adults can enjoy. It's a great activity to complete next to a cozy fire with a cup of hot chocolate.

Ingredients

16 ounces white chocolate chips
1 box Funfetti cake mix (dry)
6 cups Rice Chex cereal
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/4 cup crushed candy canes
1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

In a large glass bowl, melt white chocolate chips in the microwave. Heat on high power for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Stop the microwave every 30 seconds to stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Do not overcook or the chocolate will burn.
Add peppermint extract to fully-melted chocolate and stir.
Add crushed peppermint to melted chocolate and stir to combine.
Add Rice Chex and stir to evenly coat the cereal with chocolate.
Next, add your dry cake mix in slowly while stirring to coat the cereal evenly.
Cool candy on a baking sheet with wax paper.

This looks yummy and seems very easy to make! This would make a great gift wrapped nicely in a cello bag along with some hot chocolate mix! This is a variation of another yummy and kid approved treat called Puppy Chow but this has peppermint, which makes it extra festive for this time of year! And the name? Too cute!!!!!
