Not only is the finished version of this vanilla cake absolutely stunning, the fresh berries and layers of vanilla frosting make it utterly irresistible. These cake layers are then topped with homemade whipped cream and berries and stack one on top of the other. Garnish with a combination of blueberries and strawberries to finish your work of edible art.

This looks beautiful, and absolutely delicious. I've made homemade whipped cream one other time and I wasn't sure when it would be done, so a tip to anyone else, since this recipe doesn't clarify when it starts to hold its own shape and becomes pliable, that's when it's done! There might be a "false stiffness", but it's really finished when you touch it and a peak forms where your finger made impact.

This fresh berry vanilla layered cake is almost too pretty to eat. Its appearance looks like you were in the kitchen all day. If you do not tell anyone, no one will be the wiser. Even being made from scratch, the directions are clear and if you set your mind to it, it will not take long to make this heavenly cake.

Such a gorgeous cake, especially to make for the 4th of July or any summer BBQ/picnic! The strawberries may be a little tedious to cut but they definitely turn this recipe from just a cake into a beautiful work of art. P.S. I love the idea of using your own homegrown berries to make this recipe such a nice personal touch!

This cake looks absolutely stunning. I love that it's comprised of several poke cakes so the flavor of the berries is infused through all the layers. I think this would easily be the hit of any dessert table since it's so elegant and delicious. I can't wait to make one of these. Our blueberry bushes and strawberries are coming along nicely and it'll be great to incorporate some of our own home-grown berries into this lovely cake.

This cake looks beautiful. I would like to make it. It may be 'finicky' but it is a creation and sometimes we like to do that. Mother's day is coming up and this is perfect for an occasion like that. We have a high tea at our school where we sell tickets to raise money on mother's day and I think this cake is a good idea for that.

Don't let all the steps in this recipe intimidate you. The recipe is very well written and easy to follow. Take your time and have fun with it. The result is a beautifully moist cake that you will be proud to serve your family and friends. give it a try. if I can do it, you can do it.

Presentation of this dessert is amazing. Ever hear of the phrase, "Have your cake and eat it too" lol. There are a lot of steps involved in preparing this dessert but for those special occasions, it may be worth a try. I hope my creation is just as fabulous as the pictures here.

I agree with Emily Michelle; this cake looks fabulous. Plus, the fruit makes this a "healthy" cake recipe. :)

Wow! This is beautiful! I hope mine will turn out as pretty as this one.
