  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish well with butter and then line it with parchment paper.

  3. In a large bowl, whip egg whites with a whisk until soft peaks form.

  4. In another bowl, combine egg yolks, water, sugar, and vanilla until well combined. Next, ​Stir in melted butter. ​Add cocoa powder and mix well. Slowly stir in the flour until well combined.

  5. Add the milk and mix until well incorporated. The mixture will be VERY liquidy -- do not be alarmed.

  6. Carefully fold in the egg whites using a spatula. There will be small lumps.

  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60 minutes.

  8. Cool in the pan for at least 3 hours. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
