I like throw together bakes which require no effort but taste delicious. This looks like one of those dishes! I will gladly make this. I love casseroles with sausages in them, the saltiness throughout makes a great flavor. I think I would like to add in some fresh breadcrumbs (made with stale bread of course) to the cheese 8 minutes before serving to give a nice crunchy topping.

I think breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and I love finding recipes that take it up a notch. This Hubby's Favorite Breakfast Bake recipe is great for a Sunday morning when you sleep in an wake up extra hungry. It's hardy and full of flavor, and cheesy goodness. Great for lingering over breakfast, reading the Sunday Newspaper.

In our home this is quickly becoming the Entire Familys Favorite Breakfast Bake, not just Hubbys. It is a good dish for a late breakfast or brunch. We do not get hash browns here in South Africa so I make them myself so I always make extra so that there are enough to make this Breakfast Bake the next day, lol!

I've made breakfast casseroles that are similar to this one, and it's always been a popular dish. I've added some chopped green onions to the cheddar added before the final 8 minute bake. I also add a garnish of some sliced tomatoes on the top or serve it with salsa. I love salsa with eggs. I don't care very much for ketchup, save occasionally for fries, but I love adding salsa on top of things.

I think this will be a huge hit at my house. It sounds like it is very filling, and I need that with three hungry teenagers or more running around every day. Thanks for a new way to make breakfast. It might even hit the spot for my picky eater.

I made this casserole for Christmas Day. I only had one small portion because family gobbled it up. So I made it again in January. It is really good. I like the use of Italian sausage instead of regular breakfast sausage.

Love this breakfast casserole. Could even pass for brunch or dinner. I am going to try to save a couple of big pieces and see how the freeze. Taking a couple of trips this summer and it would be nice to have something to warm in the microwave instead of eating out every meal.

This looks like the perfect breakfast casserole to try. Our family loves potatoes, and I would substitute the Italian sausage with a Morningstar product. We are a "meatless" family and use a lot of soy protein products. We also refrain from too many egg yolks, so I wonder if using egg whites only would be a good t hing? I would also substitute the cheese with mozarella. Has anyone substituted any of the listed ingredients?
