  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), softened
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (2 large or 3 medium)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For Frosting
  • 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick), softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. For Bars

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a rimmed baking sheet (15x10x1) and set aside.

  3. In large mixing bowl, beat butter on medium-high until creamy. Gradually add sugar until well combined. Add egg and beat just until combined. Add the mashed bananas, sour cream and vanilla. Beat until well combined.

  8. Spread frosting evenly over the cake with an icing spatula. Cut into bars.

Hi everyone - Thank you for calling these issues to our attention. We have corrected the recipe and the ingredients list. We apologize for any inconvenience. -Editors of RecipeLion

Does ANYONE ever check this site 2 monitor & ANSWER questions????? Very frustrating, ready 2 just DELEAT this link

It says in the directions to add egg but egg is not included in the ingredients list

Very yummy! I halved the recipe, so I baked it in a small jelly roll pan for only 20 minutes. I added some coconut flakes, mini chocolate chips, & 1/4 tsp of almond extract. For the icing I used fat free cream cheese, coconut oil instead of butter & again added some almond extract & a tiny bit of fresh orange juice.

MISTAKE IN RECIPE STEP 3 REPEATED nd states cowl instead of bowl no time given for baking bars. THANK YOU.

Time is listed @ top of recipe, B4 the list of ingredients.......I had 2 really look 2 find it yesterday.........Bake 35 min @ 350 degrees

Does this recipe take only 1 egg since none is listed in the ingredients???
