I was hooked by the comparison to an Almond Joy, which is one of my favorite candy bars. I'd definitely use almonds in place of the pecans. It looks pretty easy to assemble and the hardest part, as noted, is simply the waiting for the levels to chill. I think the bottom layer recipe could also be used as a nice base for a cheesecake rather than just using a plain chocolate graham crust.

That combination of the pecans and coconut on the bottom look so good to me. I love easy bars and the no bake part makes it even better though I can see some prep does go into each layer. It's not a simple recipe but it looks like it cuts beautifully and I can't wait to try them out. They would be perfect for my next book club.

Don't be surprised when you see the ingredient list and directions for this recipe...each layer has a handful of ingredients so the list is a little daunting. Also, yes no bake doesn't mean no cook, so you will be cooking some of these bars before the freezing and chilling part.

Three Layer No Bake Dream Bars, should not have to cool down before you can sink your teeth into one of them? Gotcha!

No bake doesn't mean no cook.

Where is the nutritional value of your recipes, i'm on a diet. Thank you

OMG ITS CHOCOLATE. so either you don't eat it because its bad for your diet anyway or you say screw it, I'm treating myself and not caring. :P just eat more veggies and do 5 more mins of walking each time you are exercising.

I guess that calling them Nanaimo Bars would be confusing for people who don't know that Nanaimo is a city in BC, Canada!!!!

I think its that they are begrudging the title to them, since people argue about its origin. i prefer nanaimo bar, much simpler and sounds pretty :P
