Deep Fried Sweet Potatoes

Be honest with yourself: you can't be all-natural and low-calorie every day. Indulge your cravings with Deep-Fried Sweet Potatoes!

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Sweet potatoes

Instructions

  1. Put about 1 qt of canola oil in your deep fry pan/pot on medium to medium/high. While that is heating, thinly slice your washed and scraped sweet potatoes.
     
  2. When a drop of water sizzles when put into the oil, the oil is ready. Do no over-pack the potato slices in the pot. It takes longer for these to cook than regular potatoes.

I love sweet potato fries. I have only made oven baked though. I want to make some that I can freeze because I have sweet potatoes I grew and making and freezing the fries would be great for lazy nights. I am going to try making these soon. But, I will use a different oil. Canola is not a very healthy cooking oil.
