Delicious! That is the best I could come up to describe this recipe. I love jalapeno poppers. They are one of my favorites. I hate making them though. I love that I found this recipe. It is the perfect compromise. We have some jalapenos that will be ready from the garden in a couple months. This would be the perfect recipe for them!

What a wonderfully quick and tasty thing to whip together for a party or just a drop-in by friends. If I don't feel like baking, we have a really good local bakery (and Kroger for that matter) close by where I can get a suitable loaf of sourdough bread for making this. I do tend to go overboard on the cheddar and jalapenos, but I really enjoy the heat. I've also added a bit of jack cheese to the cream cheese for a touch of extra cheesy goodness.

This is a great party food that doesn't require being stuck in the kitchen most of the time while all your guests are enjoying themselves. You can put it all together before your guests arrive, and just pop it in the oven! It has the great flavors of a jalapeno popper without having to deal with getting out the deep fryer and cleaning up a greasy mess. It comes out looking very pretty, with all of the green flecks of the jalapenos and the cheese throughout. I am not much of a sports fan, but recipes like this are always a big hit when we have adult video game night at our house, after the kids go to bed.

This recipe is delicious. I first had it when my friend's Mom made it. It was the first thing eaten off of the party treat table! After experimenting, I have found that you can make many different flavour combinations by changing the ingredients, but using the same technique. It's really fun to make a garlic bread with parmesan and cheddar or marble using this recipe. If you don't like jalapenos, it's nice to try sweet red peppers for a change. Scallions are also a tasty touch when you spinkle them on top. Be creative and have fun with this recipe!

I think I just fell in love with this recipe! Jalapeno peppers and cheese melted to sourdough bread? What could be tastier, indeed. I have often made variations of this type of recipe, but still, cannot wait to try this particular one. One can hardly go wrong with melting cheese and sourdough, the addition of the jalapenos adding beautifully to the creamy meltiness of the cream cheese!
