"Marinara meets beef in this delicious, easy Roast Beef Sandwich recipe! This was quite simply a sandwich with roast beef, marinara sauce, and melted cheese. I’m sure you could add other stuff to it, but I just got it that way and loved it. I know it’s not crazy inventive, but I had never seen anyone put tomato sauce on a roast beef sandwich."

My son loves waffles, and he loves sandwiches just about any day of the week, so this is such a great idea! I plan to try a ham and cheese version in my waffle iron for his lunch tomorrow! As for the Italian beef, I might add some roasted red peppers to the mix.

This looks quite yummy with a lot of room for variation. I admit to being a little confused by the photo at first since it looked like she made the sandwich with waffles instead of bread. It's actually a waffle iron substituting for a panini press, which is actually a pretty clever idea. My wife loves roast beef and mushrooms, so I know she'll find this especially tasty.
