  • 2 parts olive oil
  • 1 part balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 shallot, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 squirt Dijion mustard
  • 1 squirt honey
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper


  1. Combine all ingredients in either a mason jar or bowl. If using a mason jar, seal the jar and shake well before serving. If using a bowl, whisk ingredients together until combined before serving.

I love This because I can control the amount of vinegar in it.

I love these quick bite recipes and I love a vinaigrette. I would definitely like to try and make this one. It looks so easy and it uses ingredients you have in your store cupboard. I will certainly try it out as a marinade as well maybe over some lamb chops.

I can remember the first time I made a salad dressing from scratch and I really thought I was doing something. With such a simple recipe, there is no reason all of my dressings should not be freshly made.

This is a great recipe to have on hand. Fresh is always better. No one can deny that and my family and I all love balsamic vinaigrette. Thanks for the recipe.

This is so easy! I usually can't finish a whole bottle of salad dressing before it goes bad. I need to start making my own so I can make just as much as I need!
