A bowl of chili is comfort food so I know that my family will really enjoy eating this. When preparing this, I would use lean ground beef or ground turkey, reduced sodium tomato juice, unsalted tomato sauce, unsalted diced tomatoes, and omit the cayenne pepper. Chili is great served with shredded cheese, and chopped onions. Also, it is delicious served on top of pasta.

I love the chili at Wendy's and this is a really close approximation of what they sell. I usually add shredded cheese and chopped onion on top when I make chili at home and I would definitely add those to this. We've used it on grilled hot dogs before and it's really good if you like chili dogs. I normally kick up the heat on the chili by adding some Texas Pete's Sabor! Sauce.

I can't wait to try this recipe. We love chili and cornbread at my house and this is pretty easy. It seems like every copy of Wendy's chili recipe is a little bit different, but some are too complicated for me. We'll have it one night next week, for a rainy spring weeknight meal.
