Pucker Pickles

Ingredients

  • 6 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • mustard seed
  • celery seed
  • onion slices
  • cucumbers

Instructions

Boil to bubble, vinegar, water, sugar and salt. Cut cucumbers in half, take out seeds and cut into strips. Put a few slices of onion in bottle then fill tightly with strips of cucumber, a couple more slices of onion on top with 1 tsp mustard seed and 1/4 tsp celery seed in each bottle, then pour liquid mixture into bottles to the top, cover and very puckery in about 3 weeks.
